One of the projects Karen and I completed this past weekend ( in the heat ) was Paining the porch and the presidential rockers. These are antique- purchased in Wolfboro at an auction 15 years ago. We changed the color from green to black.

We took the opportunity to remove a couple of trees from the yard today. One was overshadowing the back porch and needed to be removed. The others was in the front side area and was DEAD. And had turned into a home for woodland creatures. there was a fear that some winter storm might blow it onto the house- so it had to go. Amazing job by the tree team. They lifted an entire 50 foot beech tree up over the house and the tree canopy to the street where they cay and chipped the whole thing. Crazy fast, crazy high.

We pulled the carpet and had the floors replaced with 3/4 inch hard wood- real wood not vinyl or bamboo or manufactured wood floors. We think it looks great. Will have a large area rug ( Persian type) to warm up the room. On order now.

We updated the half bath off the kitchen as part of the recent kitchen remodel. We took a farm house approach to the fixtures etc. there were big holes – failed attempt at hanging the Morrow that were corrected by the last team to assist. Looks fresh and new.

Ok, so the kitchen is DONE! We just need to clean the grout and get a runner for the side of the floor. Big change without swapping out the cabinets. Way better than when we purchased the house – a long time ago. Bye bye dark Granite, hello light Quartz

Back in Sept 2021 we Replaced 9 windows ( casement style ) in the family room today. Got rid of the fogged originals and the skylight as well. We also replaced all of the crank controls at the same time. The lower photo is from post Christmas breakdown and cleanup. Yes we had a white Christmas this year.
